Stop seeing videos from channels you choose to block. Channel Blocklist hides matching cards in supported YouTube search results, Home and the sidebar. Unblock a channel whenever you want. Free, with no account; your list stays on this computer. HOW IT WORKS Hover a supported video card and click Block channel, or add a channel handle or URL in the popup. Matching cards disappear from supported pages. To reverse it, open the popup and click Unblock beside the channel. Pause blocking to view the page without changing your saved list. WHERE IT WORKS - YouTube Home and search results that expose a channel link. - Supported recommendation cards beside a video. - Comments from blocked channels when comment hiding is enabled. - The Shorts player can skip blocked channels after the video you deliberately opened. Shorts shelf tiles are not hidden. Deliberately opening a video still lets you watch it. This is a page filter, not a parental-control or access restriction tool. LEARNING SESSION Choose YouTube channel URLs for a learning session. Identified video cards from other channels are hidden in Home, search results and the watch sidebar. End the session to return to your saved blocklist. Your list stays unchanged; channel edits wait until you end the session. The session uses /@handle or /channel/UC URLs. It does not filter playlists, Shorts or cards without a clear uploader. A handle and a channel ID may not match each other unless the extension already knows that alias. Videos you open remain watchable. The last session end and an optional completion checkbox stay on this computer. No lesson-completion or productivity improvement has been measured. YOUR LIST STAYS LOCAL Your blocked channels, session choices and the last session note are saved in Chrome on this computer. Export your blocked-channel list as a JSON backup and import it on another computer. Session choices and notes are not exported. No account, cloud sync, analytics or error reporting. The extension does not transmit this data. Selecting Write a review opens the Chrome Web Store in your browser. When you uninstall, Chrome opens an optional goodbye page at smallhelpers.com. That page has no analytics, and its address contains no user identifiers. PERMISSIONS storage saves your blocklist and settings. Access to www.youtube.com lets the extension find channel links and hide matching cards. It does not request access to other sites. IF A PAGE CHANGES YouTube layout changes can affect blocking. The popup reports the current page state and how many cards it has hidden, or asks you to reload. If a supported page stops working, contact support with the page type; do not send private browsing history. QUESTIONS Does this change YouTube's recommendation settings? No. It filters supported pages using your saved list. YouTube's own Not interested and Don't recommend channel controls are separate recommendation feedback. Can I block keywords or remove every Short? No. This extension blocks channels on supported surfaces. It does not filter keywords, block ads or remove Shorts as a category. How long does a block last? It stays in your local list until you remove it, clear extension data or uninstall. Keep an export if you want a backup.
