Overview

Block YouTube channels permanently: videos hidden in feed, search, sidebar and comments. Free, no account, list stays on your PC.

Block YouTube channels so their videos stop appearing: in your home feed, in search results, in the sidebar beside whatever you are watching, and in the comments if you want that too. YouTube's "not interested" is a suggestion. This is not. HOW TO BLOCK A CHANNEL ON YOUTUBE 1. Hover any video and press "Block channel". The button stays through the preview that starts playing, and the same button sits next to Subscribe on every video page and in the Shorts player. 2. Or paste a handle or a channel URL into the popup. 3. Unblocking is one click, and everything comes back immediately. HIDE A YOUTUBE CHANNEL EVERYWHERE - Home feed and recommendations - Search results - The sidebar next to the video you are watching - The Shorts player: a blocked channel's short is skipped the moment it comes up - Comments from blocked channels, if you leave that switch on The video you deliberately opened is never hidden. Blocking a channel is not the same as refusing to let you watch it on purpose. BLACKLIST YOUTUBE CHANNELS AND KEEP THE LIST YOURS The blacklist is a plain list you own: it exports to a file and imports back, so it survives a new computer. The number on the icon is your block count. A YOUTUBE CHANNEL BLOCKER THAT TELLS YOU IT IS WORKING Extensions in this category have a habit of quietly breaking after a YouTube update, and people only notice weeks later when their feed has slowly refilled. So the popup asks the open tab what this channel blocker is actually doing and tells you: running, how many items it hid on this page, or that it is not running yet and the page needs a reload. NOTHING LEAVES YOUR COMPUTER There is no account, no sign-in and no sync. Your block list is stored by Chrome on this machine and nothing else. The extension makes no network requests at all: not for analytics, not for error reporting, not for anything. You can check: open Chrome's network inspector on the extension and watch it stay empty. One exception, stated plainly because the promise above deserves it: when you uninstall the extension, Chrome itself opens a short goodbye page on smallhelpers.com confirming that your list was deleted with it. That page carries no analytics and no tracking scripts, and by that moment the extension is already gone from your browser. It asks for two things: permission to store your list, and permission to run on www.youtube.com. Nothing else, and no other site. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO It does not filter by keyword, hide the Shorts shelf, restyle YouTube or touch advertising. Shorts tiles in shelves are outside its reach for an honest reason: YouTube renders them without any channel link, so there is nothing there to match a blocked channel against — which is why the Shorts player itself does the skipping instead. Those are different jobs and some of them already have good extensions. This one blocks channels. FAQ How do I remove a channel from my YouTube recommendations? Block it. Its videos leave your home feed and recommendations immediately, and "not interested" stops being a suggestion. How do I unblock a YouTube channel? Open the popup. Every blocked channel has an Unblock button next to it. One click and its videos are back. Does it hide blocked channels' comments too? Yes. There is a switch for that, on by default. Is this YouTube channel blocker free? Yes. Free, no account, no tracking. YouTube™ is a trademark of Google LLC. This extension is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
