Some videos have no download link: the page builds them in memory from small pieces (a "blob" or a MediaSource stream). Blob Taker captures those pieces and puts them back together as one normal file. WHAT IT DOES • Rebuilds streamed videos into a single MP4 — video and audio muxed together, de-duplicated and in order. With Pro it is instant and lossless when the stream is already H.264/AAC; the free version re-encodes the video to add its watermark, which takes longer. • Saves any blob a page creates (images, PDFs, JSON, video…), even after the page released it. Select several and save one ZIP. • Records a video on the page, or the whole tab, to MP4. • Live streams: press "Record until it ends". It saves by itself when the stream ends or you close the tab. • Recovers what it recorded. If the browser crashes or restarts mid-capture, Blob Taker finishes and saves what it recorded the next time it starts. If a save fails, your footage is kept and you can save it again. • Works inside embedded players (iframes). Pause it per site in Settings. • Everything happens on your device. GOOD TO KNOW • Videos protected by DRM (e.g. most movie/TV subscription services) are never saved or recorded, and tab recording is switched off on pages that play them. • To record a tab, click the Blob Taker toolbar button on that tab first (Chrome requires this). • Only save content you have the right to save.
