Overview

Download accelerator with parallel connections per file and concurrent downloads

Download Accelerator speeds up your downloads by splitting files into multiple parts and fetching them simultaneously over parallel connections — similar to IDM or JDownloader, built right into Chrome. KEY FEATURES • Parallel connections — split each file into up to 16 simultaneous connections per download • Multiple concurrent downloads — run several downloads at the same time • Pause & resume — stop and continue any download without losing progress • Real-time progress — per-connection speed lanes, live transfer speed and ETA • Right-click download — "Download with Download Accelerator" on any link • Intercept mode — optionally capture all browser downloads automatically • Custom download folder — choose where files are saved TWO MODES Browser Mode works out of the box — no installation required. Downloads are handled directly in the browser using parallel Range requests. Native Mode (optional) unlocks the full potential: a small native helper app opens true parallel TCP connections over HTTP/1.1, bypassing Chrome's HTTP/2 multiplexing for maximum speed. Supports authenticated downloads by forwarding session cookies. Install it once with a single script on macOS or Windows. All settings are saved locally on your device only. VERSION 1.2.3 • Adds a persistent rotating Windows Native Host log with download progress, retry, and failure diagnostics. • Retries transient network and byte-range failures with fresh connections on Windows and macOS. • Reports technical failures clearly and keeps .part files for diagnosis, while explicit cancellation still removes them. • Prevents intermittent Windows file-lock failures by keeping the output file open throughout parallel writes. • Makes macOS Pause reliably stop active transfers and resume interrupted ranges without consuming retry attempts. • Keeps the official Chrome Web Store ID permitted while supporting a separate developer extension ID.
