Blip — AI Chat for YouTube & the Web
Overview
Blip adds an AI chat panel to YouTube and any web page — ask questions and get summaries using your own provider API key.
Blip is an AI chat assistant for the current YouTube video or web page. On YouTube, Blip summarises the video and answers questions using available video context such as transcript or page information. On other web pages, it summarises readable page content and answers questions about that page. Blip adds a chat bubble that opens an AI chat panel over supported pages. It supports summaries, Q&A, YouTube timestamp answers, optional web search, chat history, and settings for provider, model, reply length, API key, and page extraction depth. On YouTube, timestamp answers are clickable and seek the player only when the user clicks them. Blip does not collect analytics, telemetry, or usage data. It does not use a backend server. AI requests are sent directly from the user’s browser to the AI provider selected by the user using the user’s own API key.
