Sheets Formula Debugger adds the step-by-step "Evaluate Formula" tool that Excel users rely on, right inside Google Sheets. Select a cell, press Alt+Shift+D, and walk through the formula one piece at a time. It reads the spreadsheet you are viewing using your existing Google sign-in, uses the data only to evaluate your formula, and keeps it in memory briefly. Functions that need Google's servers (QUERY, IMPORTRANGE, GOOGLEFINANCE, IMPORTXML and similar) can't be stepped through and are clearly marked. • Function names must be in English. • Values come from the saved state of the spreadsheet, so a just-made edit may take a second to appear.
