Detect videos on websites and save authorized media directly from Chrome—without installing a companion application. StreamCatch automatically identifies direct MP4 and WebM files, plus supported HLS and DASH streams. Open the extension to see detected videos, available previews, and download options. LOCAL PROCESSING Media assembly takes place on your device using code bundled with the extension. No StreamCatch account or companion application is required. StreamCatch does not upload detected media to the developer and does not include advertising or analytics. It requests media, manifests, and preview images from their respective providers. Existing site credentials may accompany media requests when Chrome permits. IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS StreamCatch does not work on every website. DRM-protected media and unsupported stream formats cannot be downloaded. It does not bypass login requirements, paywalls, or other access controls. Live HLS support saves the currently available playlist window; it is not continuous recording. Interrupted stream downloads do not support persistent resume after a browser restart. Large downloads require sufficient free space for temporary processing and the final file. Website restrictions, expired links, browser settings, and supported codecs can affect availability.
