Netflix Genre Filter lets you tidy up Netflix so you only see what you want to watch. FILTER BY GENRE • Pick any genre from a searchable list and mark it Hide or Show. • Hide a genre but keep part of it. For example, hide Bollywood but still show comedies. • Type your own keyword to match every genre containing it. • Choose what wins when a title matches both a hide rule and a show rule. QUICK FILTERS • Hide titles you've finished. • Hide titles you've started, including Continue Watching. • Hide games, along with rows that only contain games. EASY TO CONTROL • One switch turns everything off. The toolbar icon turns grey while the filter is paused. • Open the settings in a larger, resizable window if your genre list is long. • Your rules and settings save automatically. HOW IT WORKS The extension looks up each title's genres and watch status through Netflix's own page, using your signed-in session. It then hides the matching titles in your browser as you scroll. The genre list builds from the titles you browse, so it grows the more you use Netflix. PRIVACY • Nothing is sent to the developer or any third party. • Your settings and a small cache of genres are stored in your browser. Your genre rules also sync through your Chrome account if you have Chrome sync turned on. • It only runs on netflix.com. GOOD TO KNOW Because it works with the way Netflix's website works today, filtering may stop working if Netflix changes its site, until the extension is updated.
