Birdy Jev
Overview
Dims slop on your X timeline as you scroll, judged by Jev, and keeps a Radar of what is rising.
Birdy Jev makes X quieter. ■ Slop fades as you scroll Each post near your screen is judged once by Jev, TypeSafe's classifier. Posts that spend your attention without informing you are dimmed, or folded to one line. Hover or click to read one anyway. The post you opened is never dimmed. ■ Ads disappear Posts labelled Ad or Promoted are hidden in the page. They are never sent anywhere. ■ Radar The popup shows up to three topics rising in your Following timeline, with how fast each is moving. ↑↓ to move, ↵ to open the source, E for why it matters, / to ask Birdy about it. ■ Bring your own server Birdy Jev is the client for birdy-jev, a small server you run yourself. The server keeps your judgements in your own database and holds the model keys; the extension holds only its address and, if your server asks for one, a token. Radar also needs the Birdy native host on your computer, which reads your timeline with your own X session. ■ Privacy Text of posts near your screen goes to your server, and new posts on to TypeSafe Jev for judging. Radar sends 60 posts from your Following timeline to your server and its model. Your X cookies never leave your computer. Nothing is sold, and there are no ads or analytics.
