Overview
Brings Chrome’s mobile-style tab grid to desktop, with support for native tab groups
The ideal extension for tab hoarders! Manage your ever-growing tabs with Chrome’s mobile-style thumbnail grid and native group support, designed as a full replacement for the standard tab bar. Main functionality: - Persistent thumbnails across browser restarts. - Adjustable card sizes and automatic aspect-ratio scaling (including portrait mode). - Instant unified search: Find tabs or bookmarks simply by typing. - Multi-select: Easily select multiple tabs at once using standard Ctrl+Click and Shift+Click. - Edge drop: Drop tabs or groups in the right margin to push them to the very bottom of the list. - Full support for Chrome's native group implementation. - One-click save & restore: Instantly bookmark or restore tab groups and full sessions (including group structure). - Smart bookmarking and restoration with automatic duplicate detection (merge, replace, keep both). - Housekeeping tools: Easily close duplicate and inactive tabs. - Dark/Light themes and hotkey support Cross-Platform & Flexible: - Available on the Mozilla Add-ons Store. - Supports multiple workspaces and windows. - Supports Firefox Containers. - Optimized for mouse, keyboard, and touchscreens (2-finger tap for dropdown menus / touch & hold to drag) Browser Compatibility Notes: - Edge & Opera: Some group colours do not match the browser due to non-standard colour choices. Opera's strict workspace isolation also limits most actions across background workspaces. - Vivaldi uses proprietary group APIs, so tab groups and workspace isolation are not synced with BiV TabGrid. 100% Local & Private: No ads, data collection, or cloud services. Credits: Built upon the foundation provided by Rave_Wyvern and Rodrigo Balest.
