Birdeye Inbox Panel
Overview
Birdeye inbox in Chrome's side panel, one view at a time.
Birdeye Inbox Panel puts your Birdeye Inbox in Chrome's side panel so you can read and reply to customer messages while you work in other tabs. Birdeye's inbox is built for a full-width screen and gets cramped in a narrow panel. This extension lays it out as one view at a time: • Conversation list (default) • Chat thread (opens when you pick a conversation or start a new message) • Menu (☰ Menu / ← Back in the top bar) • Filters FEATURES • Birdeye inbox in the side panel, one click from the toolbar • One-column layout built for narrow widths • Slim top bar with Menu / Back navigation • Zoom controls (− / +) for small screens • Dark mode toggle, remembered between sessions HOW IT WORKS Click the toolbar icon to open the side panel. It loads your existing Birdeye inbox (app.birdeye.com) and adjusts the page layout. Sign in with your normal Birdeye account. If you're logged out in the panel, sign in to Birdeye in a regular tab f PRIVACY • Runs only on https://app.birdeye.com/* • Collects no personal data, and sends nothing to any server except Birdeye • Stores only your zoom and dark-mode preferences, locally in your brows • No analytics, no ads, no tracking Unofficial tool. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Birdeye, Inc. "Birdeye" is a trademark of its respective owner. A Birdeye account is required. Permission justifications (the dashboard asks for these separately): - sidePanel: displays the Birdeye inbox in Chrome's side panel. - declarativeNetRequest: removes X-Frame-Options and CSP headers on app. this extension only, so Birdeye can render inside the side panel. Itapplies to no other site and no other request. - storage: saves zoom level and dark-mode preference locally. - Host permission https://app.birdeye.com/*: injects the layout CSS and the panel. - Remote code: none. All code ships in the package. Review risks: - The header stripping and the spoof.js width override (it reports a 1400px viewport to Birdeye's JS) are what reviewers are most likely to question. The justification above covers the headers. If the reviewer asks about the spoof, explain that it only changes the page's reported width inside the panel so Birdeye shows its desktop layout. - Unofficial use of the "Birdeye" name in the title can trigger an impersonation or trademark flag. The disclaimer helps. "Inbox Panel for Birdeye" is a safer title if it gets rejected. - You'll need a privacy policy URL and the "single purpose" statement. The single purpose is: "Display the Birdeye inbox in a narrow, single-view side panel layout." I can draft the privacy policy too.
