Billable is a local-first time tracker and invoicing helper for freelancers, consultants, and solo professionals who bill by the hour. Add a client, choose a saved task, and start tracking without creating an account. Keep work records clear with client-specific saved tasks, manual time entry and editing, optional idle-time deduction, rates and currencies, and billing cutoffs. Review records by client, period, and billed status so older unbilled work is easy to find. Create one editable invoice draft for each client. Add issuer and client details, contacts, issue and due dates, a PO number when your client provides one, payment terms, tax, payment information, and notes. Matching task descriptions at the same hourly rate are grouped into concise customer-facing invoice lines, while the underlying time records remain available locally. Invoice numbers, billed-record updates, and the free allowance change only when you explicitly confirm an invoice. A confirmed invoice is kept as an immutable local record that you can reopen, print, or save as a PDF. Mark it paid, review overdue invoices, or void it when needed. When you are ready to send an invoice, Billable opens your configured email app with a reviewed recipient, subject, and message, or lets you copy the subject and message yourself. You attach any PDF manually. Billable never sends email or attaches files for you. Billable does not run a cloud account for your work data or send that work data to Billable servers. Time tracking, records, drafts, and backups work offline. FREE CORE + OPTIONAL PRO Time tracking, saved tasks, editing, record filtering, invoice drafts, invoice history, payment status, email assistance, and CSV/JSON backup are free without a usage limit. Each user receives three free invoice confirmations under the v1.3 model. Free drafts display a DRAFT watermark. Billable Pro is USD 4 per month and includes unlimited invoice confirmations plus a cleaner on-screen draft preview. Before confirmation, neither plan can print or save a formal invoice as a PDF.
