TypeHalo: Encrypted Text Expander For Teams

Overview
Encrypted text expander for pros and teams. Short triggers become full replies, emails or code. Zero AI, AES-256 on device.
TypeHalo is a text expander for Chrome and other Chromium browsers. You define short triggers and they expand into full sentences, replies, emails or code, in any web text field. About the permission warning you are about to see: Chrome will say this extension can read and change data on all websites. A text expander cannot know in advance which sites you type on, so it has to be allowed to run in any text field. What it does with that access is narrow. Trigger detection runs locally in the browser process, single keystrokes are never stored or transmitted, and your snippets are encrypted on your device before anything syncs. No AI. Nothing predicts, rewrites or reads what you type. Expansion is deterministic, so the same trigger produces the same output every time. For wording legal or security already signed off, a better paraphrase is not a feature. It is a variance you now have to explain. HOW THE ENCRYPTION ACTUALLY WORKS - Snippets are encrypted on your device before they sync. Argon2id, HKDF, AES-256-GCM per snippet. - Our servers hold ciphertext and public keys. Nothing readable. - Team libraries stay encrypted. Decryption happens on authorized devices, never on the server. - No keylogging. Trigger detection runs locally in the browser process. - The cost: your passphrase never leaves your device, so if you lose it we cannot recover your vault. We would rather say that here than in a footnote. WHAT YOU GET - Triggers that fire in any web text field, from a simple chat box to a rich document editor. - Smart variables: date, clipboard, cursor position, relative dates such as next monday, auto-incrementing sequences, and Google Calendar macros for pulling your next meeting link or your availability into an expansion. - Alt+T, or Option+T on a Mac, searches your whole library when you cannot remember a trigger. Search by trigger, snippet text or tag. - Bulk find and replace across every snippet, so a policy change is one edit rather than forty. - Encrypted shared libraries on Team Pro, so approved wording is identical for everyone. - Works the same on Windows, macOS and Linux, because it lives in the browser rather than the operating system. BUILT FOR TEAMS WHOSE WRITING CARRIES CONSEQUENCES Support and CX. Canned responses that do not drift. Your helpdesk ships macros, which works until the team also answers in email, live chat and a community forum, and the refund policy exists in four places with three of them out of date. Shared support macros and helpdesk snippets live in one encrypted library instead, and every agent expands the same approved text. Sales. Sales email templates, cold email snippets and follow up templates that work outside the sequencer. Template features inside your CRM stop at the CRM, so the moment a conversation moves to a manual reply or a social message the good wording is somewhere else. One library covers all of it, including the pricing and security answers you least want improvised. Developers. A code snippet manager for the browser, where a lot of developer writing actually happens. Git command snippets, boilerplate, pull request descriptions, issue templates, incident notes and review comments. Expansion is deterministic, which matters for commands, because an approximately correct one is worse than no suggestion at all. Legal, ops and compliance. A legal clause library, standard operating procedure snippets, compliance templates and internal comms templates, held as one canonical version. Approved language stops drifting into four lightly edited copies, and when a defined term or notice period changes, bulk find and replace updates the whole library in one operation. Recruiting and proposals. Outreach and RFP answer libraries where the same forty answers get retyped all year, including the security questionnaire responses nobody wants to write twice. WHY NOT JUST USE BUILT IN TEMPLATES A template feature inside one product only works inside that product, and most of them cap how many you can save. The moment the conversation moves somewhere else, the approved wording is back in the other tab. TypeHalo works in any web input, so the same trigger fires wherever you happen to be typing. PRICING Free forever for 200 snippets, one device. Pro is $9/month for unlimited snippets and encrypted sync across multiple devices. Team Pro is $12 per seat/month for encrypted shared team libraries. Both paid plans include a 14-day trial. Cancelling downgrades you to the free tier rather than deleting your data.
