BidLume — Upwork Job Fit & Risk Analyzer Previously UpLens. Same independent open-source extension, a new name and icon. Existing settings and local history are retained when you update the same Chrome Web Store item. Compare opportunities before you spend Connects or submit a proposal. BidLume reads visible Upwork posting data and calculates a local 0–100 advisory score. Search results receive compact inline badges; the popup shows the breakdown and your local analysis history. CORE FEATURES • Local risk indicators: Flags patterns such as off-platform contact requests, advance-payment requests, vague descriptions, unverified payment status, and other caution signals. • Client and budget scoring: Reviews visible client history, hire rate, spending, rating, payment verification, and whether the budget meets your personal minimums. • Skill matching: Compares job skills and description text with the skills you save locally. • Optional BYOK AI: Use your own OpenAI, Google Gemini, Groq, or supported OpenAI-compatible provider for a short AI summary and CV skill extraction. Local scoring works without an API key. Provider usage may incur charges from that provider. • Local model support: Connect a custom OpenAI-compatible localhost endpoint, such as a locally running model server. • Seven interface languages: English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Arabic. • Light and dark themes, an optional onboarding tour, and up to 100 local history entries. HOW TO START Click the extension icon to open the popup. Choose a language or skip the tour. Open a supported Upwork job or job-search page; then open the popup to review the result. Add your skills and minimum rates in Settings for a personalized comparison. AI configuration is optional. PRIVACY AND SUPPORT BidLume does not operate an analytics or user-data server. Settings, skills, API credentials, and history are stored locally in your browser. Optional AI requests send the necessary job text, saved skills, or submitted CV text directly to your selected provider. Chrome requests access to that API host when you configure or use it. No remote executable code is loaded. The popup includes a voluntary external Patreon support link. Supporting development is not required and does not unlock or restrict features. Scores and flags are advisory signals, not guarantees that a client or posting is legitimate. Always review the original posting.
