Keyboard shortcuts, verification checkmarks, flags and dark mode for preparing returns in Intuit ProConnect Tax.

Power Tools for ProConnect adds the tools a preparer reaches for all day to Intuit ProConnect Tax: keyboard shortcuts, checkmarks for the amounts you've tied out, flags, and a dark mode. Features • Keyboard shortcuts for the record you're on: new, duplicate, delete (asks first), next and previous record. Alt+/ lists them all. • Verify an amount with Alt+V: a green check sits beside the box while it still holds that amount, so you can see when a number changed after you checked it. • Flag a box with a note with Alt+F, using ProConnect's own flags, and see the open flags on each screen. • Highlight the boxes you've entered (blue) or verified (green), so you can see at a glance what's done on a screen. • The Tickmarks panel lists everything verified, changed or flagged on a return; one click takes you to the box. • Tax Returns list tools: counts next to each return, red names for returns that need a look, e-file colours, sort and filter, and rules that colour whole rows by status. • Dark mode for ProConnect, including the tax forms on Check return, with a light / dark / follow-the-computer picker. • Paste an amount with a $ sign or (parentheses) and it's cleaned up so ProConnect accepts it. • A red count of diagnostics on the Check return tab, and Review return opened in a tab instead of a new window. • Password managers are kept out of the return's boxes. • Undo a deleted record while the page is open. • When a new version is ready, one click restarts Power Tools on it and brings you back to the same screen. How to use it Open a client's return in ProConnect Tax. The pink Power Tools button next to Notes opens a menu of everything above; whatever doesn't apply to the screen you're on is greyed out. Alt+/ shows the keyboard shortcuts. Click the Power Tools icon in Chrome's toolbar to see your account and plan. Plans • Free: everything above. • Pro: your checkmarks, flags and settings synced across every computer you sign in on, verify history (what a box was and what it is now), flag comments, and choosing which counts, highlights and settings show and sync. $8 a month or $80 a year, with a free 14-day trial and no card needed to start. • Team: Pro for everyone at your firm, with everyone's checkmarks and flags shared on every return (with who did it and when), invite by email, and admins. $12 per seat a month or $120 per seat a year. You subscribe on Azuma's account page (open it from the toolbar icon), paying through Stripe. Stop any time and Pro runs to the end of the period you paid for. Privacy Power Tools works inside your browser, on your computer. On the free plan your checkmarks, flags and settings stay on this computer. A checkmark stores the client and box it belongs to and, for a box holding money, the amount you verified (for other boxes, a short fingerprint that can tell it changed but can't be turned back into it), and nothing at all for a Social Security number, EIN, account number or date of birth. For a text box (a city, a street, an employer's name) the text it held is also kept on this computer, so a change can be shown as before and after. Signing in is optional: it's how you keep Pro and Stay signed in (sign in with Google, Microsoft, your firm's single sign-on, or a code emailed to you), and it tells us your name and email, nothing about your returns. With Pro or Team, your checkmarks, flags and settings (including the client name and box each belongs to, the amounts you verified, and the before and after of a verified box that changed) are synced, encrypted and kept for you on Azuma, so every computer you sign in on (and, on a team, everyone on it) has them; Azuma holds the key.
