Biamp Ad Blocker
Overview
DNS adware-malware blocker. Details and source code available at https://github.com/davide-perli/Biamp_ad_blocker.
Static dns based adware-malware blocker compliant with Manifest V3 based on static rules. It works by checking if the dns domain that the user receives is an registered adware-malware domain. The extension's features lie in it's security (NO USER DATA IS BEING PROCESSED OR SENT ANYWHERE OUTSIDE THE USER'S BROWSER), due to the static nature of the adware-malware blocking based on rules containing the dns domains to be blocked and no request outside the current URL where the user is browsing where if the incoming request form the dns domain is present in the json rules it is blocked and the transparency of the code (bellow is the link for the github repo where the source code lies). Due to it's static nature it can't block YouTube ads or certain dynamic ads. The image attached in the graphical resources shows no ads where displayes using the https://canyoublockit.com/ simple test.
