Propagandometer — see what’s behind the message. Open an article or post and click the extension. Propagandometer sends the page URL for express analysis and displays the result directly in a Chrome popup. What you can do: • Analyze material from the current page’s URL. • View probability estimates for propaganda techniques and reasoning criteria. • See an overall score on the gauge, with a written assessment. • Watch results update automatically as the analysis finishes. • Open the full analysis on the website for supporting quotes and explanations. • Preview a share image and copy a permanent link to the result. Getting started: 1. Install the extension and pin it to the Chrome toolbar. 2. Open a public article or post. 3. Click the Propagandometer icon and wait for the express result. 4. Choose “Run full analysis” for a closer look. This opens the website, where you sign in and confirm the request. Express analysis is available without signing in, subject to request limits. If a URL has already been analyzed, the server may return the existing result. Closing the popup does not cancel an analysis already in progress. The interface supports English, Russian, French and German. It follows Chrome’s interface language and defaults to English for other languages. Data and permissions The extension sends the selected page URL and a random installation identifier to the Propagandometer server. The server retrieves the material from the URL and uses AI to analyze it. The extension does not read browsing history, passwords or website cookies, and does not extract page text from your tab. The server also receives your network IP address. URLs may contain query parameters. Results are probabilistic AI assessments, not fact-checks or definitive judgments about a source’s accuracy or an author’s intentions. Check the original sources and context. Some pages, including private posts and restricted content, may not be accessible for analysis.
