CinePersona — Movie Scrobbling & Watch Tracking

Identify films while you watch, track your viewing, and build your personal movie DNA.

CinePersona is a personal movie and TV viewing companion for supported streaming and cloud-drive pages. • Identify films, track playback progress and save watched entries when automatic scrobbling is enabled. • Rate films and add short reviews from the extension, then view them in your CinePersona library. • Track TV episodes separately: match a show, season and episode, see its cover and available season information and scores, save episode progress and resume supported playback. When a match is uncertain, choose a candidate before progress is saved. • Optionally sync your own Douban viewing marks and export a local CSV backup. Sending Douban records to CinePersona requires sign-in and explicit confirmation. • Pause tracking globally or for individual supported sites. Recognition and resume availability depend on the page and player; not every video or site is supported. Ordinary YouTube uploads, short videos and commentary are not treated as films. Privacy The extension reads supported playback-page titles, filenames, season/episode numbers and playback progress for matching and tracking. Catalog lookup sends the relevant title or identifiers to CinePersona. When signed in and tracking is enabled, viewing records and episode progress are sent over HTTPS to your own CinePersona account. Platform stats are enabled by default. When enabled, the standardized platform name is saved with the corresponding viewing entry for your personal overview. You can disable this and remove saved platform information in CinePersona privacy settings. The optional Douban connector is off by default and requests optional permissions only when enabled. It uses the browser session to request your own marks from Douban; Douban cookie values and passwords are not sent to CinePersona or unrelated third parties. Cloud sync requires your explicit confirmation. Signed-in extension requests also record first and latest connection times and the extension version on your account. These records indicate observed extension use, not proof that it remains installed, and remain after logout until account deletion. No anonymous installation identifier, browsing-history upload or periodic heartbeat is used. Data is not sold or used for advertising profiles.
