Parley fills in job application forms on the employer's own website. It uses the CV and the answers you prepared in Parley. You read the form and press Submit yourself. HOW IT WORKS 1. Prepare an application in Parley. Parley reads the job posting, checks it against your brief, tailors your CV from your own lines, and drafts answers to the form's questions. 2. Open the employer's application form. The Parley side panel shows the role and what is ready for it. 3. Press Fill. Parley fills the fields it can, attaches the CV tailored for that role, and puts in the answers it drafted. 4. The panel shows what went in and where each answer came from. It lists the questions that only you can answer, such as your start date. You can answer them in the panel or on the page, change any written answer, or clear everything Parley filled. 5. You check the form and press the employer's own Submit button. When their thank-you page shows, Parley moves the application to Applied in your account. On a job page that is not in your Parley account yet, the panel shows a first reading of how the role fits your brief. You can then ask Parley to prepare it. WHERE IT WORKS Parley works on the application forms of the hiring systems most employers use for their careers pages. On any other website, Parley works only after you allow it: for one site when you press Allow in the panel, or for every site when you turn that on in the extension's menu. Chrome asks you to confirm each time. WHAT PARLEY NEVER DOES - It never presses Submit. No application goes to an employer until you have seen every answer and pressed Submit yourself. - It never types passwords, creates accounts on an employer's site or solves CAPTCHAs. Those steps are yours. - It never reads or fills diversity and equality questions. They are left for you, and Parley does not save your answers to them. - It never ticks an optional consent, such as "keep my details for future roles", unless you set a rule for that in Parley. - It sends nothing to Parley until you agree on the consent screen, and it sends nothing to anyone else. WHAT YOU NEED A free Parley account at https://parley.collabsprint.academy. The extension connects to your account once, and you can disconnect it at any time. YOUR DATA After you agree, the extension sends these to your Parley account: - The address of each job page you open on the hiring systems above, on sites you allowed, and on the job pages of a few other job sites. Parley uses it to tell whether the role is in your account. If you allow Parley on every site, this is the address of every https page you open. - The text of a job posting you ask Parley to prepare. - The questions on an application form, so Parley can draft answers. - The answers on the form, when you ask Parley to review or change them. - The answers you type into the questions left for you, so Parley can use them on the next form. - If a fill fails: a copy of the page as it was before filling, so a person at Parley can fix the filler.
