TabVault
Overview
Export Chrome tab groups to Obsidian as Markdown notes or to your clipboard.
Chrome has no way to copy all the links in a tab group. TabVault fixes that. Open the popup, pick a tab group, and TabVault turns it into a Markdown note in your Obsidian vault, or copies the Markdown to your clipboard. You can also export every open group at once. Each note includes: • YAML front matter with the group name, color, export date and tab count • A checklist (or plain list) of every tab as a Markdown link Options: • Choose the vault, folder and note name template • Overwrite, append to, or create a new note when one already exists • Include or skip internal pages like chrome:// tabs • Silent mode, so Obsidian doesn't jump to the front Private by design: • Runs entirely on your computer • No accounts, no sync, no analytics, no network requests • Only uses the tabs, tabGroups and storage permissions Note: Chrome doesn't let extensions see saved tab groups that are closed. Reopen a group from the bookmarks bar before exporting it. TabVault is free and open source (MIT): https://github.com/aryamantepal/tabvault
