ClipCabinet Recorder turns a screen recording into perfect recall for an AI assistant. Record any browser tab. Your screen, your voice, what you're seeing. The recording is automatically transcribed, captioned frame by frame, and indexed. URLs, error messages, code snippets, file paths, and ticket IDs are extracted from the transcript and surfaced as searchable artifacts. The whole recording becomes structured context that an AI assistant (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Claude Code, or any MCP-compatible client) can query. The pitch: explain a problem once, on video. Your assistant gets every detail forever, not just what you said, but what was on the screen at every moment. WHAT YOU CAN DO: - One-click record any tab. A floating control bar (pause, finish, discard) follows your cursor across pages. - Watch the recording in your library with a transcript, frame thumbnails, and extracted artifacts side by side. - Drop pinned comments at any moment in the playback to ask follow-up questions or add context. - Share a recording publicly via a link. The link unfurls in Slack, iMessage, Discord, and Twitter with a thumbnail. - Mint an API token, point an MCP-compatible client at it, and your AI can search across every recording you've made: title, summary, transcript, frame captions, artifacts. WHAT IT NEEDS: - A free ClipCabinet account (sign up at the recorder URL). - An API token, generated in your account settings, pasted into the extension's options page once. PRIVACY: This extension only records when you explicitly click Start. It uploads recordings to your own ClipCabinet account on the server you've configured.
