SimTab - Minimal New Tab

Organize sites locally without signing in, or sign in to sync separate cloud content across devices.

SimTab turns your Chrome new tab into a clean, customizable home for your favorite websites. Organize links into spaces and groups, find saved sites quickly, and personalize the page to suit your daily work and study. Features • Organize websites into multiple spaces and groups, with drag-and-drop sorting. • Pin website shortcuts to the dock and arrange dock controls. • Save the current page from the toolbar, context menu, or Alt+Shift+S shortcut. • Search saved websites and search the web with your chosen search engine. • Optionally import selected Chrome bookmarks or an exported HTML bookmark file. Existing browser bookmarks are never modified. • Customize light/dark themes, wallpaper, accent colors, and layout. • Export and restore JSON backups. • Choose English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, or Japanese. Use immediately without an account: guest data stays in your browser. Optional email-code sign-in gives you separate cloud content that syncs across devices using the same account. Signing out restores your local guest content. Local and cloud content are not automatically merged; you can explicitly copy local content to your account. Permissions support these features: storage saves local content and temporary capture drafts; favicon displays website icons; activeTab reads a page title and URL only when you invoke Save; contextMenus adds the Save current page action. Bookmark access is optional and requested only when you choose to import browser bookmarks. Supabase handles optional sign-in and cloud sync, and Bing provides search suggestions. All executable code is included in the extension. Learn more at https://simtab.233032.xyz/privacy.html
