BFSG Check tests the currently open web page for accessibility under the German Accessibility Act (BFSG) – that is, EN 301 549 / WCAG 2.1 AA – and gives performance hints. All checks run locally in your browser. No data is transmitted. FEATURES • Automated testing with axe-core against WCAG 2.1 AA, optionally WCAG 2.2 AA and best practices • Extra BFSG checks: link to the accessibility statement, non-descriptive link texts (“more”, “here”), linked PDFs, CAPTCHAs, form fields with placeholder text only, auto-playing videos • Simple view: traffic light and the most important issues in plain language – who is affected and how to fix it • Detailed view: grouped by WCAG criterion and EN 301 549, with severity, CSS selector, HTML snippet, filters and page structure • Highlight affected elements directly on the page • Performance: Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP), page weight and concrete optimisation hints • Checklist for manual testing, saved per website • Tools: show tab order, text spacing (WCAG 1.4.12), grayscale, 200 % zoom, 320 px view • Export as HTML report (printable as PDF), CSV or JSON • Interface in German and English HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the icon in the toolbar – the side panel opens. 2. Click “Check page”. 3. Review the results, highlight affected elements on the page, export a report. PRIVACY No data transfer, no tracking, no external services. Only your settings and checklist progress are stored – locally in your browser.
