Auto Refresh XL Automatically refresh webpages and watch for text appearing or disappearing. Set a separate timer for each tab and get a visible alert, sound or desktop notification when your target is detected. FLEXIBLE REFRESH TIMERS • Choose 5-second, 10-second, 30-second, 1-minute, 5-minute or 15-minute presets, or enter a custom duration. • Vary the interval within a minimum and maximum range. Fixed-time controls are disabled while random mode is selected. • Set a maximum refresh count, bypass the browser cache, or stop refreshing when you click or type on the page. • Use independent settings for different tabs. PAGE CONTENT MONITORING • Match plain text, regular expressions or XPath selectors. • Watch for a target appearing or disappearing after the first refresh. Monitoring continues to check content that loads dynamically. • Plain-text matching handles differences in whitespace, smart quotes, dash characters and invisible formatting. Accessible open shadow DOM components are included. • Highlight matching text and scroll to it, stop refreshing, show a desktop notification or bring the monitored tab into focus. • See an on-page alert on the tab you are viewing, with a shortcut back to the monitored tab when needed. ON-PAGE WIDGET AND SOUND • Follow the countdown, refresh count and monitored term in a draggable widget. • Keep the widget's position across page refreshes. • Enable or disable alert sound from the webpage, test the sound from the popup, or stop refreshing from the widget. • Audio may require a click on Enable Alert Sound before Chrome allows playback. SAVED SETTINGS AND AUTO-START • Unfinished popup settings are saved per tab. • Add an exact page URL to Auto-Start and edit or delete saved rules in the popup. • Use advanced settings for wildcard URL rules, random ranges and extension defaults. • Available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. PRIVACY AND PERMISSIONS Settings, timers, monitoring terms and rules are stored locally in Chrome. The extension does not transmit them to a server or include advertising or tracking scripts. Website access is used to monitor pages and display the widget and alerts. Storage saves your settings, alarms recover scheduled refreshes when the background worker is suspended, and notifications provide optional desktop alerts. Chrome may throttle background tabs or delay alarms, and sleeping devices cannot refresh on an exact schedule. Random timing does not bypass website restrictions, rate limits or bot protection.
