Overview

TDS audit straight from Tally: reads every voucher, decides the section from the transaction, and exports an Excel annexure.

TDS Audit for Tally helps chartered accountants and finance teams audit TDS deductions directly from the books in Tally — without exporting, uploading or sharing client data. Open the client company in TallyPrime or Tally.ERP 9, connect the extension, and it reads vouchers straight from the Tally server running on your own computer. The audit runs in your browser and nothing leaves your machine. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Connect to Tally – Enter your Tally address (default http://localhost:9000), pick the open company and connect. A built-in "Try with demo data" option lets you explore the tool with a synthetic company, no Tally needed. • Set up the engagement – Client name, firm name, firm registration number (FRN), annexure title, prepared by / reviewed by, financial year, period to audit (full year or part), rounding tolerance and section-label style. • Choose the sections to audit – Contractors & manpower (194C), professional fees (194J), technical services (194J), rent for building and machinery (194I), commission & brokerage (194H), interest other than bank (194A), director's fees (194J), partner remuneration & interest (194T) and purchase of goods (194Q, off by default and meant for buyers whose preceding-year turnover exceeded ₹10 crore). • Income-tax Act 2025 and Act 1961 – Sections are shown with Income-tax Act 2025 references (for example 393(1) Sl.6(i)) alongside the old Act 1961 section, so the same review works for current and earlier years. Rates and thresholds applied are visible and editable. • Cumulative thresholds – Vouchers are always read from 1 April of the year so that thresholds are tracked cumulatively; the report covers only the period you choose. • Narration-based split – Optionally split a bill using the amounts written in its narration (for example, labour and material), so that only the labour / service part is tested for TDS. • Work through the audit – Guided tabs for Setup, Questions, Reconciliation, Voucher review and Excel & diagnostics, with a one-click "Run complete audit" button (shortcut F8). PRIVACY FIRST • Runs locally. Your Tally data is read from the Tally server on your own computer and processed in your browser. • No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. • Your data is never sent to the developer or to any third party. • Full policy: see the Privacy Policy link on this listing. WHO IT'S FOR Practising Chartered Accountants, tax-audit teams, accounts and compliance teams, and anyone who needs to check TDS deduction and reconciliation against Tally books. NOTES • Requires Tally (TallyPrime or Tally.ERP 9) running on your computer with the company open, unless you use the demo data. • This is an audit aid. Always verify results before relying on them or signing any report. • Independent tool by Jayansh Jalani – CA Automation Suite. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Tally Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
