betterXplayer is an OPEN SOURCE tool that makes long videos on X easier to watch without changing how the site feels. Our github: https://github.com/jasperdevs/better-x-player Hold on a video to temporarily play it at 2x speed, then release to go back to your normal playback speed. If you leave a long video unfinished, betterXplayer keeps track of it locally and shows it in a compact popup so you can jump back in later. There are no dashboards, accounts, ads, analytics, or extra clutter. It focuses on two things only: faster playback while holding, and getting back to unfinished videos quickly. How it works: Press and hold on a video to switch to 2x Release to restore the previous speed Videos you do not finish are saved to a compact list Reopen the post later and continue where you left off Privacy: betterXplayer stores video progress locally using browser extension storage. It does not sell your data, send your watch history to external servers, or require an account.
