The ALL-IN-ONE Browser Extension for AI DUNGEON 🔥 BetterDungeon gives AI Dungeon players, writers, scenario creators, and scripters more ways to shape an adventure. Guide the story, organize the details that matter, and let Navigator take care of recurring work while you play. Version 2.1 brings Navigator and Routines to the forefront, alongside new input modes, scenario tools, and Ultrascripts. Choose the features you want from the BetterDungeon popup. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🧭 MEET NAVIGATOR NAVIGATOR CHAT Ask questions about your adventure or get help revising Story Cards and Plot Components. Navigator draws on your adventure’s context and can research details before making a change. You decide how edits work: apply eligible changes automatically, review proposed changes first, or turn changes off. Permanent deletions always require your approval. ROUTINES Give Navigator an instruction once, then let it run after a chosen number of completed adventure actions. Want to keep NPCs consistent or help the story find its direction? A Routine can review what has happened and decide whether anything needs updating. Six editable examples start disabled: • NPC Brains • Automatic Story Cards • Story Arcs • State Management • Scene Compass • Continuity Watch Each Routine has its own conversation history, and the Activity view shows what ran. You can also ask Navigator in Chat to run a saved Routine whenever you want. Automatic Routines use your configured AI provider and its available usage. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎮 PLAY YOUR WAY COMMAND MODE Tell the AI where the story should go without disguising instructions as dialogue. Skip ahead to morning, change the scene, introduce a complication, or quietly remind the AI that your character still owns a sword. Standard, Subtle, and OOC variants give you control over how directly your instruction is presented. TRY MODE Turn an action into a roll of the dice. STORY CARD TOOLS Highlight active triggers, inspect Story Card analytics, and dock the card editor beside your adventure so you can keep the story in view. PLOT AND CHARACTER PRESETS Save reusable Plot Components and character profiles. Optional AI-assisted Character Prefill can suggest answers to scenario entry questions while leaving the final choice to you. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📡 GIVE SCRIPTS SUPERPOWERS WITH ULTRASCRIPTS Ultrascripts lets AI Dungeon scripts communicate with BetterDungeon through permission-controlled modules instead of burying messages in story text. Scripts can create interactive widgets, request AI responses, play synthesized sound effects, look up weather, read public HTTPS resources, and adapt to device or network conditions. BetterDungeon handles the connection and permissions; you control which capabilities a script may use. For scenario creators and scripters, this is where things get wonderfully unreasonable. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⚡ AUTOMATE THE BORING PARTS CUSTOM DYNAMIC Build a model pool and let BetterDungeon rotate through the AI Dungeon models you choose. Advanced options let you assign Mistral, OpenRouter, or a custom HTTPS endpoint to selected AI features. AI requests may include relevant adventure content and go to your configured provider. If Gemini fallback is configured, an unavailable Advanced provider may cause the same request to be sent to Google. Your provider’s usage limits and billing rules apply.
