BetterChat for Kick

Replaces the chat panel on kick.com with the BetterChat viewer (betterchat.tech/<channel>). Toggle it from the toolbar popup.

BetterChat swaps the message list on kick.com channel pages for its own and leaves the rest of Kick's chat panel alone. The header, the emote picker and the message box stay where they were and keep working — you're still logged into Kick and still chatting through Kick. Only the way messages are drawn changes. Switch it off from the toolbar and Kick's own chat comes straight back, up to date. No reload, nothing to restore. WHAT YOU CAN CHANGE • Text — font size and family (a preset, or any font installed on your machine), line spacing, background color. • Usernames — keep each sender's Kick color, or set one color for everyone. • Badges — show or hide any kind: subscriber, moderator, VIP, OG, founder, broadcaster, verified, staff, bot, sub gifter, chat level, event badges. • Repeat filter — hide a message a user repeats inside a time window you set, and collapse an emote spammed back-to-back down to one. • Mentions — highlight messages that @ you. • Events — choose what happens to deleted messages (gray out, remove, or leave alone), and which of timeouts, bans, unbans, chat clears, pins, subs, gifted subs and hosts you want to see. • Timestamps, scrollback, and how much history to keep. WHAT IT SHOWS • Full badge sets in Kick's own order, including the channel's custom subscriber tiers. • Emotes, @mentions and reply threads — hover a clipped "Replying to…" line for the full original message. • Pinned messages, subscriptions, gifted subs and hosts as their own lines. • Click a username for a card: avatar, follower count, when they joined, followed and subscribed, their badges, and their recent messages from this session. • Recent chat is filled in when you open a channel, so it's never empty. • A status line when Kick's feed drops, is reconnecting, or the channel is offline. PRIVACY No account, no tracking, no analytics. The extension stores a single on/off flag and nothing else. Chat comes straight from Kick's public API to your browser, the same way a normal kick.com tab gets it. GOOD TO KNOW Settings are saved per site, so the ones you set inside kick.com are separate from settings on betterchat.tech. Not affiliated with Kick.
