Better YT Recommendations

Opened YouTube to learn, ended up on cat videos? An on-device AI hides off-topic recommendations so you stay focused.

An AI that cleans up your YouTube recommendations, running entirely on your computer. You opened YouTube to learn one thing. An hour later you're deep in cat videos and travel vlogs. Better YT Recommendations fixes that. TELL IT WHAT YOU WANT. IT HIDES THE REST. Type a few topics, like "programming, math, web development, psychology". A small AI model reads every recommended video's title and channel, understands what it's about, and hides what's off topic. It goes by meaning, not keywords, so "React hooks explained" counts as web development even without the words. It works next to the video you're watching, on Home, and in Subscriptions and search if you want. TELL IT WHAT YOU DON'T WANT Add topics to avoid, like "gaming" or "celebrity gossip", and those disappear too, even from channels you otherwise like. PRIVATE, BECAUSE IT'S LOCAL The AI downloads to your computer once and runs there, not in the cloud. What you watch is never sent anywhere. No tracking, no accounts, no data collection. AND MORE • Home opens on YouTube's "Your custom feed", and enforcement mode keeps it there • Always show or always hide a channel with a right-click • Profiles like "Work" and "Evening" to switch topics in one click • Hide Shorts everywhere • Keyboard shortcuts, and 11 languages Free and open source: https://github.com/r-afael/better-yt-recommendations Better YT Recommendations is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
