Better Kick

Plain-text Kick chat — no emotes, badges, gifs or sub spam. Read back deleted messages. Purple theme, player locked to 1080p.

What's in: Plain-text chat. Emotes, unicode emoji, badges, avatars, gifs, stickers, icons, embeds and link previews are gone. Emote-only messages drop entirely rather than leaving a stranded bob:. Dropped at the socket, not hidden in the page. Filtering happens on the WebSocket frame before Kick's virtualised list is handed it, so no row is ever rendered and then hidden — which is what used to make the chat flicker and fight its own scroll position. Deleted-message log. A trash-can button in the chat footer opens a window listing every message a moderator removed: who wrote it, what it said, when it went, why, and — where Kick's events actually say so — who took it down. Unattributed deletes read "by an unknown moderator" rather than inventing one. Per tab, per channel, never written to disk. No subs, gift subs or Kicks. Buttons, upsells, sub/gift event lines, the top-gifter marquee, the recent-Kicks pill bar. Copypasta filter. Once a line has been posted 10× in 10 minutes, that line and every later copy stop appearing. Smooth chat scrolling. Kick's auto-scroll is replaced with one measured off the real bottom edge, plus a slim overlay scrollbar. Purple theme. #53FC18 becomes #9147FF, wordmark and browser-tab favicon included. Locked to 1080p, and your collapsed panels and Browse filters come back the way you left them.
