Better Home & New Tab: Weather, TV, Movies & Anime

Your new tab as a home base: weather, this week's TV, movie and anime releases, a show browser, quick links and calm wallpapers.

Better Home replaces your new tab page with a calm, customizable dashboard built around the weather and what you're watching. Open a tab and see today's forecast, what's airing this week, and your favorite shows at a glance. WHAT'S ON THIS WEEK • Trending: the most-watched TV airing each day of the week • Upcoming: a week of new TV episodes, movie releases and anime side by side, with genre filters • My Shows: a weekly calendar of just the shows, movies and anime you follow • Anime air times shown in your own time zone BROWSE AND DISCOVER • Media Browser: scroll rows of TV, movies and anime, then open any genre • Filter a genre by country and year, and sort by popularity, rating, newest or oldest • Search across TV shows, movies and anime • Open any title for its trailer, cast, ratings, recommendations and where to watch • Watch links: add one-click buttons to open a title on Trakt, on your own home media server, or favorite apps WEATHER, CLOCKS AND SEARCH • Current conditions and a 5-day forecast for your location • Digital clock, flip clock, or a combined clock and weather card • Google search bar • Quick Links for your favorite sites, plus your most visited sites MAKE IT YOURS • Drag components into any order and resize them; lock the layout when you're done • Show or hide each component • 16 built-in wallpapers (landscapes, forests, sunsets and space), gradients, or your own image • Export and import your settings to back them up or move them to another computer PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking • Your settings stay in your browser; the extension only contacts public data services to show the dashboard GOOD TO KNOW • Movie releases and full TV and movie details need a free TMDB API key (takes a minute to get; the settings explain how). Weather, TV schedules, anime and everything else work without one. • Data sources and image credits are listed on the extension's options page.
