Better Half helps you pay less when shopping online by comparing true total prices and testing coupon codes against your actual cart. On Amazon product pages, Better Half: • reads the exact product, price, availability, pack size, and identifiers; • checks Target, Walmart, and Home Depot for close matches; • includes known shipping costs; • compares per-unit prices when pack sizes differ; • flags out-of-stock alternatives and price ranges without turning them into misleading savings claims. At supported checkout pages, Better Half: • looks for candidate codes from prior local results, the merchant's page, and public coupon-listing pages; • tests up to six codes one at a time against your current cart; • keeps the first working code applied; • shows only a code that changed the cart total; • restores the cart when no code works; • never clicks a purchase or payment button and stops if payment details have already been entered. Use the toolbar popup to turn price comparisons or coupon testing on or off, set Prime and RedCard shipping assumptions, review verified coupon outcomes, see recorded savings, and test retailer connections. Privacy and control: • no account required; • no ads, analytics, affiliate links, or developer-operated server; • settings, savings, and coupon outcomes stay in Chrome's local extension storage; • product search terms are sent directly to the relevant retailer, and merchant domains may be used to open public coupon-listing pages; • no data is sent to Better Half or its developer. Retailer websites change and can occasionally block automated lookups. When that happens, Better Half reports which connection failed rather than inventing a match or savings estimate. Comparisons include shipping where available and exclude tax.
