Keep the meeting. Keep the evidence. Better CaptionKeep is a DAF-TECH browser extension for local meeting transcripts and source-linked evidence from Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Zoom Web. It reads captions already displayed in the meeting. It does not record microphone audio or video, add a meeting bot, or require a Better CaptionKeep account. Live local capture starts on for supported meetings and can be paused or resumed in All Settings. Provider caption availability and organizational policy still apply. Version 6.0 brings the DAF-TECH interface and Live Workspace: review the conversation, reopen local Meeting Receipts/history, mark cited evidence, keep reviewed Capture Moments, use reusable local templates and retain reviewed Notes and Ask results separately from the original transcript. Rolling notes create bounded local extractive updates with pause/resume, review and revision history. Search, filter by available speaker attribution, use corrected/raw views, and export TXT, Markdown or Word (DOCX). Print / PDF uses the browser print dialog. SRT/WebVTT is available only when imported official transcripts contain real media cue boundaries. The Zoom Web subtitle overlay may omit speaker names; those captions use Unknown speaker. Bring your own AI workspace. On the Fly prepares a bounded prompt and opens your saved destination; you paste, review and submit there. Better CaptionKeep does not automatically paste or send prompts, connect MCP services or execute external tools. Email actions open recipient-free drafts and do not send mail. Shareable summaries use selected excerpts, an editable reviewed draft and explicit handling labels; labels do not establish legal privilege or guarantee safe sharing. Privacy Scrubber masks supported patterns locally while retaining the original transcript. It is not guaranteed anonymization. Capture Moment previews the active supported meeting tab for approval before local retention; images are not automatically anonymized. Optional meeting-chat snapshots cover recognized loaded rows, not complete chat history. On-device translation is offered only where the browser supports it, with no silent cloud substitute. Optional Microsoft 365 import uses your organization's own single-tenant Entra registration and delegated permissions to retrieve an authorized official Teams transcript you select. It is separate from displayed live captions and requires tenant setup and applicable consent. No paid feature tiers, required AI subscription, publisher-operated transcript cloud, advertising or analytics. Organizational policy, browser capability and provider permissions can restrict optional features. Your browser controls local storage and downloads; explicitly shared/exported copies follow their destination's policies. Interface translation previews are labeled and retain English fallback.
