Best Card — by Points & Prompts

See which of your cards earns the most on the store you're viewing — honest points values from Points & Prompts. Unofficial.

Best Card shows which of your own cards earns the most at the store you are viewing, using a hostname-to-category map. Open the toolbar popup for the answer on your current tab. If the hostname is not in the category map, the popup shows a category cheatsheet instead of a store-specific pick. You can expand the cheatsheet when you want more detail. On supported shopping and travel sites (a fixed list in the packaged manifest — do not name them here), a small control in the top-right corner expands to show the recommended card, earn rate, data age, and a link to Points & Prompts. You can hide that control for a domain. It does not appear on every website. Connect your Points & Prompts wallet by opening pointsandprompts.com, or choose cards by hand in the extension. Your synced wallet takes priority over manual selections. No login is required to use the extension. The extension reads the current tab's hostname to identify its spending category. It does not scrape page content. Your card list stays in Chrome's local extension storage. The extension fetches the public Points & Prompts card dataset and labels cached data; it stops making recommendations when the cached copy passes 48 hours. Unofficial.
