Beatmap Discussion Tools for osu!
Overview
Markdown toolbar, hotkeys and preview, s-ul.eu drag-and-drop uploads, and a modding bridge to n.ot.e for osu! beatmap discussions.
Beatmap Discussion Tools adds what osu!'s beatmap discussion pages are missing for people who write a lot of mods: a markdown editor, image uploads, and a bridge to the n.ot.e editor. MARKDOWN EDITOR • A floating toolbar appears when you select text in any discussion box: bold, italic, link, code, quote and list. • Hotkeys for quickly applying styling to selected text. • Paste a URL over selected text to turn the selection into a link. • Preview: the eye button next to the pin renders your markdown in place, timestamps included, so you can read a mod the way it will post. DRAG-AND-DROP UPLOADS (s-ul.eu) • Drag, drop or paste images and files into any discussion box. They upload to your own s-ul.eu account and land in the post as markdown: images as embeds, other files as links. Drop several files over a selection and they become numbered links. • Needs a free s-ul.eu account: paste your API key into the popup once. Files go only to s-ul.eu, only when you drop them. MODDING BRIDGE (n.ot.e) • Keeps the unpublished draft in the Reviews tab in sync between your browsers and with n.ot.e, the collaborative osu!taiko web editor (https://note.nostril.io/info). Mods you stage in n.ot.e appear as embeds in the osu! review box, ready to post; edits you make on the website flow back to n.ot.e. • Pair your devices with one secret code: generate it in the popup, or copy a pairing link for n.ot.e. Sync is peer-to-peer between your own devices and protected by that code; no server stores your drafts. • Hover a timestamp in a posted mod to open it in osu! or in n.ot.e. A n.ot.e you already have open seeks there instead of loading a new tab, and shows the hovered timestamp on its timeline. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ppy Pty Ltd.
