Overview
Beacon provides AI-powered fact checking directly in your browser with results and citations from trusted sources.
With Beacon, you’re able to highlight information while browsing and instantly evaluate it using AI with access to current sources. This provides relevant sources and citations so you can read, research, and understand with confidence. 👥 Our Mission We believe there’s a need for accurate on-the-go fact-checking to combat the growing amount of disinformation online. We believe this problem will only get worse without tools like Beacon to add clarity and confidence. We don’t believe in blindly trusting AI; that’s why Beacon gives you its sources to follow-up and understand independently. 🔍 Fact Check If you come across a claim that seems inaccurate or surprising, just highlight the text and Beacon will offer to fact-check it. You’ll get back a curated response that evaluates whether the claim is true, false, or somewhere in between. This includes in-text citations and links to each of the sources we used to provide that response. 🧠 Add Context If you come across a headline and want to know more - but don’t have time to read the article, or maybe it’s behind a paywall - just ask Beacon to add context. We’ll search the internet for relevant context and give you the full story along with links to read more. ⚖️ Argue For/Against If you want to broaden your understanding of a contested topic, you can ask Beacon to provide an argument for or against some idea. Gain more insight by using Beacon’s reasoning and sources for either side of some argument. 🗂️ Follow Up in the Dashboard The Beacon Dashboard is the home base for all of your fact-checking and research while using Beacon. Here, you can review all of your previous chats and ask follow-up questions. For example, after Beacon fact-checked some claim, you might want to know more or to challenge an underlying idea. You’re able to access the same quality tools and continue the conversation. 🔧 Create your own Tools Automate any repetitive follow-ups or prompts by creating your own tool within Beacon. It'll be instantly available as you browse in the future. 💡 Why use Beacon? - Become a more responsible consumer of information online by verifying everything you read - Learn more quickly with convenient summaries, conversations, and sources - Understand diverse perspectives by letting Beacon share the whole story - Gain new angles and starting points for deeper research - Join the Beacon community for access to exciting features in the future dedicated to high-trust AI anywhere you get your news 🚀 Get Started To start using Beacon, create an account and purchase a subscription at https://www.beaconfacts.com/.
