World clock and meeting planner: compare cities on one time axis and drag to pick a slot.
Now and There answers the question every distributed team asks several times a day: what time is it there, and when can we all meet? Click the toolbar icon and every city you care about lines up on one shared 24-hour time axis. Each row is a strip of hours for that city, shaded by time of day, so the overlap of everyone's working hours is visible at a glance. Drag across the strips to pick a slot, and every city's local time for that slot is ready to copy, add to Google Calendar, or save as a calendar file. AT A GLANCE - A large live clock for your own time zone, with today's date - One row per city, all on the same time axis: the hour strips line up vertically, so the same moment reads straight down the page - Hours shaded by time of day: working hours lightest, early morning and evening a step darker, night darkest - The current hour highlighted in every row, with a dashed line marking right now - Midnight marked with the new date underneath, so you can see where each city's day turns over - Each city shows its local time, time zone abbreviation, its offset from you (for example +5h or −8h 30m), and whether it is already the next day or still the previous one - A tiny world map beside each city marks where its time zone sits; click it to open the world time zone map - Half-hour and 45-minute time zones (India, Newfoundland, Nepal, parts of Australia) handled correctly, as are daylight-saving changes WORLD TIME ZONE MAP Click any city's small map to open a full world map of every time zone, drawn from real zone boundaries. - The city's own time zone is highlighted, with every other zone on the same time right now shaded alongside it - Each zone is shaded by its offset from UTC at this moment, so daylight saving time is always reflected - Hover over any zone to see its name, its UTC offset and the time there now - Pins mark all of your cities, and the scale along the edges shows each UTC offset and the hour there right now - Shows the zone's name, abbreviation, offset, local time and difference from you, and says when daylight time is in effect PLAN A MEETING - Hover over the strips to scrub through the day and read every city's time at that moment - Drag to select a time slot, in 15-minute steps - Page to the previous or next day, and jump back to today - Copy: puts every city's local date and time for the slot on your clipboard, ready to paste into a chat or an email - Google Cal: opens a new Google Calendar event for the slot, with each city's local time in the event description - .ics: downloads a standard calendar file that opens in Outlook, Apple Calendar or any other calendar app ORGANISE YOUR CITIES - Sort by city name, by UTC offset, or in your own custom order, rearranged with the up and down arrows - Your own time zone appears as the reference row at the top, and can be hidden - 24-hour or 12-hour clock - Three backgrounds: Soft Arc (a gentle dawn-blue to dusk-rose sweep), Light (white to silver) and Dark (a full dark theme) OPTIONS PAGE Open it from the gear button in the popup. - Add any of 160,000 cities and towns worldwide by name (Tokyo, Kraków, Salete), narrowed by state or country where names repeat ("Springfield, IL", "São Lourenço, MG, BR"), by country for single-zone countries (India, Japan), or by any standard time zone name (America/Sao_Paulo); suggestions appear as you type, with each city's state and country and its UTC offset (plus the zone's abbreviation where one is in common English use, such as PDT or CEST) - Or pick a time zone from a world map: every zone's main city is a dot, and pointing at one shows its local time - Give any city your own label, such as "Tokyo office" or "Maria" - Rename a city, change its time zone, reorder the list, or remove it - Choose the hour format, whether to show your own time zone row, and the background: Light, Dark or Soft Arc - Changes save as you make them PRIVACY - No account, no sign-in, no servers. The extension never contacts any server of its own, and has none. - It requests a single permission, storage, to remember your cities and preferences. It cannot read or change any website you visit. - Your city list and settings are stored with Chrome's own sync storage, so they follow you to other computers where you are signed in to Chrome with sync turned on. They are never sent to the developer. - Your own time zone is read from your computer's clock settings. The extension never asks for your location. - Nothing leaves your browser unless you ask it to: Google Cal opens Google Calendar with the selected slot, and Copy puts the text on your clipboard. - No analytics, no tracking, no advertising. Fonts, icons, the small maps, the world time zone map and the city list are all bundled inside the extension; nothing is downloaded at run time.
