Overview

Generate 2FA codes locally in Chrome. Scan QR codes, manage TOTP/HOTP and Steam accounts, and export encrypted backups.

AuthenticatorX puts your two-factor verification codes within reach in Chrome. Find an account, copy its code, and keep your workflow moving. - Generate TOTP, HOTP, Steam, Battle.net and hexadecimal-key codes locally. - Capture the visible tab and select a QR region, import a QR image, or enter a secret or setup link. - Search, group and favorite accounts. Copy codes with one click and see their countdown. - Start without a master password. Enable optional password protection in Settings; disabling it requires your current password. - Export password-encrypted backups with a real decryption check before download. Review recovery before merging accounts. - Choose light or dark mode and English or Simplified Chinese. Keyboard shortcuts included. Import supported single-QR Google Authenticator exports and standard otpauth links. Multi-QR exports are not assembled in this version. Compatible original Authenticator Extension JSON backups are also supported. Accounts stay on your device. No key uploads, advertising, analytics, backend or cloud sync. Default device mode stores decryption material locally alongside encrypted data; someone with browser-data access can read your secrets. Enable a master password for independent protection. Backup passwords cannot be recovered; keep website recovery codes. AuthenticatorX is an independent project derived from the MIT-licensed Authenticator Extension. It is not affiliated with Google, Google Authenticator or the original publisher.
