Use it from video cards, the home grid, search results, subscriptions, watch pages, and other YouTube surfaces. Click **Summary** to open a page-aware summary panel, read the YouTube Ask summary, follow timestamp links, or click **Listen** to hear it narrated. Designed for strong compression, 10xTube helps turn long videos into short summaries with the key points preserved. Features: - Adds a Summary control to YouTube video cards and watch pages. - Uses YouTube's standard Ask summary response from your browser session. - Shows summaries in a side rail, watch-page panel, or popup depending on the YouTube page. - Converts timestamps into links that seek the current video without closing the summary. - Narrates summaries when you click Listen — using your browser's built-in voice for free, or the Azure Speech API with your own key for higher-quality neural voices. - Provides previous, play/pause, and next segment controls for narration on both voice engines. - Narrates each video in its own language, or uses one fixed voice — your choice, per engine, in the settings panel. - Stores narration settings locally in Chrome extension storage. Text summaries work first. Listening mode is optional and works out of the box with the free browser voice; no account or key is required for reading, listening, or timestamp seeking. Azure Speech is an optional quality upgrade using your own key. 10xTube does not run a backend server. YouTube summary requests are sent from your browser session to YouTube. Azure Speech is contacted only if you choose the Azure engine and click Listen; the default browser voice never leaves your browser's speech engine. YouTube Ask availability can vary by account, region, video, and YouTube UI rollout. 10xTube depends on YouTube page data and internal YouTube endpoints, so YouTube changes can affect behavior. 10xTube is distributed by Obsessive Coders, Inc.
