Overview
Change the key of any YouTube video in semitones, without changing the speed. For musicians and singers.
Shift the pitch of any YouTube video up or down in semitones — without speeding it up or slowing it down. Perfect for: • Singers — move a song into your vocal range before practicing • Guitarists — match a song to your capo position or alternate tuning • Pianists — transpose a piece into an easier key • Music students — train your ear across different keys How it works A small dark panel appears at the top-right of the YouTube player. Click − or + to change the key, or use the keyboard shortcuts below. Pitch is saved per video, so when you come back to the same song, your setting is still there. Keyboard shortcuts • Shift + ↑ — raise pitch • Shift + ↓ — lower pitch • Shift + 0 — reset to original Quality Audio is processed locally using a streaming pitch-shift algorithm. No audio leaves your browser, and there is no delay vs. the video. Privacy • 100% local processing — no audio or usage data is sent anywhere • Preferences are stored in your browser only, via chrome.storage • No tracking, no analytics, no accounts Range: ±12 semitones. Works in fullscreen and theater mode. Remembers your last pitch for each video you've adjusted. Limitations • Works on standard YouTube videos; DRM-protected premium content and some live streams may behave differently • Large pitch shifts (beyond ±7) start to sound processed — this is a limitation of the streaming algorithm Feedback If you find something broken or have a feature request, please leave a review.
