Overview

Tree-style tab manager and session keeper. Save, annotate and restore your windows without ever losing a tab.

Arbor shows your open windows and tabs as a tree in Chrome's side panel and keeps that tree when tabs are closed, so nothing you were working on disappears. What it does - Live tree of windows and tabs. New tabs nest under the tab that opened them. Drag and drop to reorder or re-nest, collapse branches, add groups and notes. - Close and save. Close a tab, a whole window or a subtree and it stays in the tree as a saved node. Click it later to reopen it in place. "Close all and save" closes every open tab in one step and keeps all of them. - Search titles, URLs and notes. - Crash safety. Every change is written to an append-only log in IndexedDB and compacted into snapshots. The Recovery view lists every snapshot with its node count and restores any of them with one click. An integrity check runs at every start. - Export and import. Export the whole tree as JSON at any time. Import Arbor exports, Tabs Outliner tree files and the raw Tabs Outliner session snapshot (the import screen documents how to extract it). - Keyboard: arrow keys move, Enter opens or restores, Delete closes and saves, N adds a note, / focuses search. Alt+Shift+A opens the panel. - Light and dark themes; follows the OS by default. Free and Pro Everything above is free and works without an account or payment. Arbor Pro is a one-time $15 purchase (no subscription) that adds: - Scheduled local backups: export the whole tree every N minutes and keep a rolling set of the newest copies, downloadable as files. Google Drive backup and power keyboard/clipboard commands are planned for a later version; they are listed under "Planned" in Options and are not part of Pro. Privacy Arbor stores your tree on your own computer (IndexedDB and chrome.storage). It has no analytics and no account system. The only network request the extension makes is to Lemon Squeezy's licence API when you activate or revalidate a Pro licence key. Privacy policy: https://shantanuojha.com/privacy/arbor Arbor works in Chrome and Edge (Chromium 114 or newer for the side panel). It is not affiliated with Tabs Outliner; "imports Tabs Outliner backups" describes a file format the importer understands.
