bCAD opens native DWG and DXF drawings straight in Chrome - no CAD software to install, no sign-up, and nothing you open is uploaded anywhere. It runs entirely on your own computer. Built by Bury Associates, a land and measured building surveying firm, for the everyday job of pulling a dimension, an area or a few coordinates off a drawing without launching full CAD. What you can do: - Open native DWG as well as DXF, with their real layers and colours - Turn layers on and off, or isolate a single layer - Measure distances and areas, with running totals - Drop numbered survey points and record X, Y and Z, with feature codes - Snap to vertices, midpoints, centres, edges, intersections and perpendicular - Work with coordinates, datum levels and ortho - Draw and mark up over the drawing - Export survey points to CSV, or a marked-up DXF or PDF Free to use. Measurements depend on the accuracy of the source drawing, so always verify anything critical, and note that some blocks or embedded information may not display.
