Better Sidebar
Overview
Group the channels you follow into custom groups in Twitch's sidebar. Not affiliated with Twitch.
Better Sidebar lets you organize the channels you follow into your own groups, right in Twitch's left sidebar. - Groups in the sidebar: create groups and sort your followed channels into them. Live channels come first, highest viewer count first, then offline channels. Give each group a color and choose which group is the default. - Twitch's own rows: channels keep Twitch's look and behavior, including badges, Watch Streaks, Hype Trains and shared-stream guests. Hover a row for Twitch's own details, including who else is live in a shared stream. - Fresh data: live status and viewer counts refresh about once a minute while a Twitch tab is in front. - Manage Groups: a two-pane dialog to create, rename, reorder and delete groups and tick channels in or out, with search. - Syncs across your devices: your groups follow you to your other Chrome browsers through Chrome sync (sign in to Chrome with Extensions sync on). You can turn it off in the popup, and a "Check Chrome sync" button tells you whether Chrome sync is on. - Your language: the extension follows the language Twitch is set to, in all 30 languages Twitch offers, including right-to-left Arabic. - Collapsed sidebar: each group shows its initial, and hovering it shows the group name and live count. - Popup: hide Twitch's original followed list, Stories, live channels, Watch Streaks, recommended categories, or "viewers also watch". Privacy: the extension connects only the Twitch account signed in on twitch.tv in your browser, and asks Twitch for one permission (user:read:follows) to read who you follow and who is live. It cannot follow, unfollow, chat or change anything on your account. Your groups, settings and login token are stored in your browser; your groups are also copied to Chrome's own sync so they reach your other devices, and the developer cannot see them. There is no server of ours, and the extension talks only to Twitch. The "Check Chrome sync" button asks Chrome for the optional "know your email address" permission, only when you tap it; it is used just to see whether Chrome sync is on, and the address is never read or stored. Better Sidebar is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Twitch.
