Battery Level Alert

Shows an alert when battery level is outside the range

To extend the total lifetime of a battery, charging it or draining it fully should be minimized. For example, electric cars have an option to automatically stop charging after reaching 80%. Computer hardware or operating systems, typically do not automatically do this. Their low battery warnings are also set too low. In Chromebooks, the threshold for the low battery warning is not adjustable. This extension alerts when the battery level becomes low (default 20%) or when it becomes high (default 80%). It is up to the user to act on the alert and manually connect or disconnect the external power source to maintain the optimal battery charge level.
