Basic Auth Manager
Overview
Auto-fill HTTP Basic Auth credentials and manage them via a simple CRUD interface.
Basic Auth Manager automatically fills in your HTTP Basic Auth credentials (htaccess-style protection) so you never have to re-enter them manually. Simply save your credentials once per domain, and the extension handles authentication silently in the background. A color-coded badge on the toolbar icon shows at a glance whether the current site is protected and whether you're authenticated. Features: Auto-inject credentials on Basic Auth challenges Visual indicator: 🔴 protected without credentials / 🟢 authenticated Full credential manager: add, edit, delete entries per domain and realm Optional AES-256-GCM encryption with a master password — ideal for production credentials "Without protection" mode for dev/staging environments with dummy credentials Compatible with Firefox and Chrome
