baseless.chat

baseless.chat puts a live chat room next to every website you visit. Open the side panel and you're talking with everyone else on the same site, or on the exact page you're reading. HOW IT WORKS • One room per website. Everyone on a site shares a room, whichever subdomain they're on. • One thread per page. Each page has its own thread, so the conversation stays about what you're looking at. A site's main page links to all of its page threads. • Follows your tabs. The chat switches to match whatever tab you're on. • Click to go there. Tap a page thread or a site name in the chat to open that page. NO ACCOUNT NEEDED • Chat right away as a guest, with your own letter avatar. • Sign in with Google from the profile menu any time to use your name and photo. EASY TO FOLLOW • Your messages are always blue. Everyone else gets their own color, and it stays the same every time you come back. • Flat, dark, edge-to-edge design that stays out of the way of the page. SHARE AND BROWSE ON THE WEB • Copy a link to any room, like baseless.chat/?url=example.com. It opens the site and its chat side by side, no extension needed. • Every message also shows up on baseless.chat, tagged with the site it came from, so you can see what people are talking about across the web. PRIVACY Messages are public: anyone in the same room can read them. When you post, baseless.chat stores your message, your user ID, the page you posted from, the time, and your Google profile photo URL if you signed in. Nothing is sold. Privacy policy: https://baseless.chat/privacy_policy.html PERMISSIONS • Side panel: to show the chat next to the page. • Tabs: to know which page you're on, so the chat can follow you and open links in your current tab.
