Overview
Encode and decode Base64 for text, images and files. Right-click any selection or image, or use the popup. Text is always unlimited.
Base64 Toolkit turns anything into a Base64 string, and back again — without sending your data anywhere. Every conversion runs locally in your browser. TEXT, INSTANTLY Open the popup, paste, and read the result. Switch between encode and decode with one click. Text conversion is unlimited and always free. RIGHT-CLICK ANYTHING Select text on any page, right-click, then Base64 → Encode or Decode selection. The result is copied to your clipboard and shown in a small card on the page. Right-click an image to convert it to a Base64 string or a data URL. FILES AND IMAGES Drop a file into the popup to encode it, or drop a saved Base64 string to decode it back to the original file — the extension restores the file name and type where it can. Images can be copied as a ready-to-paste data: URL for use in CSS or HTML. BUILT FOR REAL INPUT Handles URL-safe alphabets, missing padding, line-wrapped output from command-line tools, and data: URL prefixes. If something isn't valid Base64 it tells you why instead of silently producing garbage. Decoding something that isn't text is detected and offered as a file download rather than a screenful of broken characters. HISTORY AND SETTINGS Recent conversions are listed so you can see what you did. Optional auto-copy puts every result straight on your clipboard. Optional desktop notifications confirm conversions made from the right-click menu. FREE AND PRO Text encoding and decoding are unlimited, forever. The free plan includes 10 image and file conversions per month. A Pro license removes that cap — monthly, yearly and lifetime keys are available, and one license covers 3 devices. PRIVACY Nothing you convert is uploaded. There is no analytics, no tracking and no account. The extension talks to exactly one server — our license server — and only to check a license key you have entered yourself. It requests no access to websites at install time; if you convert an image from a site, it asks for permission to that one site, at the moment you ask for the conversion.
