I built Barr 🌱 because I manage all my tasks through Google Tasks, Gmail and Calendar — but had no way to properly see or manage them. I didn't want a third-party app with overkill features in a new tab with delayed syncing, so I built Barr. I prefer to manage tasks where work already happens — in Gmail and Google Calendar. If that sounds like your day too, you'll probably like it. Every alternative meant leaving Gmail, learning a new tool, and maintaining tasks in yet another place. Barr fixes that. Click a nav entry in Gmail's left panel and your kanban board, timeline, or table loads in the main content area. Click Inbox and it's gone. No new tabs. No separate accounts. No migration. Just your tasks, finally easy to view and manage. You're up and running in 30 seconds. 🌱 CORE FEATURES 🍎 Kanban board — see all your tasks as a visual board inside Gmail. Drag and drop between columns. Customise column names, colours, and order to match your preferences. 🍌 Timeline view — see your tasks across timescales. Tasks laid out on a date axis, grouped by list. Know what's coming, what's overdue, what needs attention — at a glance. Drag and plan. 🍊 Lists view — your Google Tasks lists as columns, with kanban status groups within each. Drag tasks between lists and statuses without leaving the view. 🥝 Table view — a sortable, filterable table of all your tasks. Sort by due date or title, filter by list, show or hide columns. All four views live inside Gmail. Click a nav entry in the left panel and the view loads in the main content area. No context switching. 🌱 BUILT ON YOUR EXISTING GOOGLE TASKS Barr reads and writes your existing Google Tasks through the official Google Tasks API. Nothing to import, nothing to migrate. Works two-ways. If you uninstall Barr, your tasks are still there. No lock-in. 🌱 DESIGNED TO FEEL NATIVE Every colour, font, spacing, and interaction follows Google's own design language.
