Overview

Secure, zero-JavaScript URL cleaner: strips tracking, affiliate & referral params (utm_*, fbclid, gclid…). No data collection.

Tired of ugly, tracker-laden links? bareURL automatically removes the tracking, affiliate, and referral junk that gets appended to URLs — especially the links you click from email — so you land on a clean address. It strips 120+ known parameters, including: • Analytics: utm_source/medium/campaign/term/content, mtm_*, ga_*, _ga, _gl • Ad clicks: gclid, gbraid, wbraid, fbclid, msclkid, dclid, yclid, twclid, ttclid • Email/newsletter IDs: mc_eid, mc_cid (Mailchimp), _hsenc/_hsmi (HubSpot), ck_subscriber_id (Kit/ConvertKit), _bhlid (beehiiv), mkt_tok (Marketo) and more • Affiliate/referral: tag, ref, referrer, and common shop affiliate tags How it's different — built for trust: • Zero JavaScript at runtime. It ships only a static rule list that Chrome applies itself via the Manifest V3 declarativeNetRequest API. • It cannot read your browsing. There is no content script; the extension's own code never even receives the URLs it cleans. • No data collection, no analytics, no servers, no account. Ever. • Fully open source and auditable — the entire "logic" is one readable list of parameter names. Note: parameters are removed globally on the pages you navigate to. If a site ever relies on a stripped parameter, it's easy to see why, because everything the extension does is in one small, public rules file. Open source: https://github.com/ngnnah/bareURL
