POSMENTOR Recipe Cost

Work out what goes into each dish, from a purchase pack to a prepared recipe and a finished menu item. POSMENTOR Recipe Cost is a standalone calculator for restaurants, cafés and takeaways. Use it in Chrome's side panel or open the workspace in a full tab. No POSMENTOR account is needed to use the calculator. INGREDIENTS Enter the pack size, purchase price and usable yield of each ingredient. Use grams, kilograms, millilitres, litres or individual items. Leave an unknown price blank: the calculator marks affected recipes as incomplete instead of treating the ingredient as free. RECIPES Combine ingredients into a batch and enter its finished yield. A batch can produce a weight, a volume or a number of portions. Recipes can also contain other recipes, so a prepared sauce can be reused without entering its ingredients again. PRODUCTS Build a finished product using quantities from your recipes and individual ingredients. For example, combine one dough portion, 80 g of tomato sauce and 100 g of mozzarella into a Margherita Pizza. View each component's contribution to the product cost. Updating an ingredient's purchase price updates the costs of linked recipes and products. START WITH AN EXAMPLE An empty workspace offers an optional pizza example. Review it before loading, then edit the ingredients, recipes and product. Its quantities and prices are illustrative, not current supplier prices or a verified culinary recipe. LOCAL STORAGE AND BACKUPS Your entered data is processed and saved locally in your Chrome profile. The extension does not send recipes or prices to POSMENTOR or another server, read the websites you visit, or include analytics or advertising trackers. Download a JSON backup and restore it when needed. Restoring a backup replaces the workspace only after confirmation. Local data is removed when the extension is uninstalled. Backups are not encrypted, so store them somewhere appropriate. There is no cloud sync or automatic transfer into a POSMENTOR account. WHAT THE COST MEANS Results are ingredient costs based on your own prices and quantities. They are not net profit and do not include labour, energy, overheads or VAT calculations. Keep VAT treatment consistent when entering prices. GBP, EUR, USD and TRY are supported as display currencies; the extension does not convert exchange rates.
