Overview

Every tab's full Back history, always visible, even after the browser restarts.

Your browser forgets your Back button. After a restart, an update or a crash, each tab comes back with at most a handful of Back pages: Chrome's session file keeps only 6 per tab. Hours of reading behind a tab, gone. BackTrail keeps every tab's full Back history, shows it in the side panel, and brings it back after the browser restarts. WHAT IT DOES • This tab — where you've been in the current tab, newest first. Click any page to go back to it; Ctrl/Cmd-click opens it in a new tab. • Survives restarts — each tab keeps its whole trail after you quit, update or crash, matched to the tab that comes back. • Recover earlier history — right after install, tabs you already had open get their past back from your browser's own history files, including pages it lost in earlier restarts. • Review — the tabs with more Back history than the browser keeps (shown as +N), so you can finish what's pending before you quit. Also: tabs recovered, tabs to double-check, and duplicates. • Duplicates — tabs open on the same address; keep the one with the most history and close the rest. • Sites — your open tabs by site. "Used since you opened the browser" for a quick pass before quitting; "All" to free memory by closing tabs you haven't opened in over 7 days. • Closed — tabs you closed in the last 7 days, with their history. Reopen brings the tab back with its trail attached. • Light and dark theme. English, Spanish and Portuguese. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Everything stays in your browser. No account, no servers, no analytics, no network requests. • Reads only page addresses and titles, never page content. • Closed tabs are deleted after 7 days; uninstalling deletes everything. No settings. Install, click the icon, and your tabs have a memory. Made by LGD Ventures · Feedback: lgdventures.hq@gmail.com
